How to send an e-Transfer

To send an e-Transfer, follow these simple steps:

  1. Log in to online banking and navigate to the Transfers screen.
  2. Select Send Interac e-Transfer.
  3. Select your recipient from the Transfer To drop-down list.
  4. Select your account you’d like to send the funds from in the Transfer From drop-down list.
  5. Indicate the amount you’d like to send. Please note: Your account will be debited the amount you have sent as well as any applicable fees.
  6. Add a message, if desired. For security purposes, do not put the answer to the security question in the message field.
  7. Click Send Transfer.
  8. Your recipients will receive a notification within 30 minutes that you have sent them an Interac e-Transfer®; they can follow the links to deposit the funds into their account.
